USE OF SEMAX® IN BRAIN STROKE

Stroke
50 – 150 mcg/kg Body Weight

Mild Stroke :
Day 1 : 3 mg - one vial = 60 drops as bolus, within 6 hours.
Maintenance : 4 times 6 drops/ day (3 in each nostril)

Moderate :
Day 1 : 3- 6 mg - one to two vials = 60 - 120 drops as bolus, within 6 to 12 hours.
Can be continued until day 3.
Maintenance : 4 times 6 drops/ day (3 in each nostril)

Severe :
Day 1 : 6-12 mg - two to three vials = 120- 180 drops as bolus, within 6 to 12 hours.
Can be continued until day 3.
Maintenance : 4 times 6 drops/ day (3 in each nostril)
